Hello everyone and welcome to ExDad tennis info website. Tennis has been my favorite game next to football since high school. It’s a game that has taught me to be good independent thinker being responsible of my decisions. Living in a community where football is hyped more than tennis buried the interest of most people in any other games. But my desire drove me to gather more information about tennis when I made the decision to learn how to play.
And I will say it has been a great journey of discoveries as one overcame the challenges to embrace my passion. Thus, my desire to give back to society what I have found to others with similar interest to move on the right path in learning tennis.
Brief Story of My Tennis Learning Process
Getting down to the nitty gritty of the tennis game wasn’t achieved overnight. It is what I believe had contributed to the skills I have now in tennis. Back to my college days when tennis wasn’t popular in my community it was hard to come by pros in the tennis game to teach me how to play. Therefore, I resorted to some online tools for guidance.
Infact, it was like a research work for me to find out all that I needed to know about this game. I delved into the history, tennis court dimensions, rules of the game, game types, tennis kits, world best tennis players and all that goes with the game. This was not a smooth journey for me as some of those insights were not easy to find.
Being a lone person in this learning process, I practiced in my room after some studies. As I progressed from time to time, I joined a tennis club during my graduate studies and my learning rate was accelerated. This was a surprise to the instructor of how I got things faster and that was as a result of the in depth knowledge I had gathered before joining the club.
Within the shortest possible time, I provided tit bits to friends and was regarded as the information center of tennis from the field to the kits that goes with the game.
Be Rightly Informed
William Pollard once said, “Information is a source of learning. But unless it is organized, processed, and available to the right people in a format for decision making, it is a burden, not a benefit.” My personal experience in knowing about tennis, learning how to play and sharpening my skills is one that I wouldn’t like others with similar passion to go through.
My journey in pursuing my passion in tennis has equipped me with the information worth sharing with others having the zeal to learn about tennis and searching for tennis related things. So it is my desire to help others to obtain the right information about tennis and its related stuffs to save people the hustle.
